Weather report
Monday night the storms rolled in over the mountains. It was fun to capture the mountains literally disappearing behind the clouds & rain. It reminded me how the top of the Sears Tower disappears from outside of my window at work in Chicago when the storms roll in - creepy!

We were without electricity for almost all of Tuesday - such is life in Haiti! I never did find out why. So Renald and I walked around a bit and then ate lunch with the teachers at the school. Most days they eat food that looks like goulash - this day it was corn based with red beans and a topping made out of chard and an apple-textured vegetable that we don't eat in the states. It looked gross but tasted great!

I met with one of the head agronomists at Double Harvest today. He is very friendly, speaks great English, and looks surprisingly like Celine Dion's husband René Angelil. He shared with me lots of interesting information about the farming business, difficulties they face as farmers in Haiti, and his penchant for seed production. I think that if I would have given him the time, he would have taught me everything he knows about agriculture!
Thanks to all of you who have signed up for my prayer schedule! It is posted on the left-hand side under the Links section. Those listed as "prayer warriors" are people who said they would pray for me every day! It is not too late to sign up either - just let me know the day you would like by email or by creating a comment to this post.
New prayer requests:
(1) That the directors at Double Harvest will be able to gather & provide the information I have requested
(2) For my continued reliance on God to help me over the hurdle of large tasks
(3) That my health improves as I've definitely come down with something - yikes!
